Douglas Carswell has been named in a Daily Mirror article in which leading Tory MPs are calling for the NHS to be dismantled.  

Locally, the Gazette has exposed the fact that Douglas Carswell is supporting his close friend, Tory MEP Daniel Hannan, on NHS reforms.

The two controversial Tories, both on the extreme right of the party, are supporters of a Conservative NHS agenda that David Cameron is trying to deny exists.

Daniel Hannan has branded our NHS as ‘a 60 year old mistake’ and has stated that he would much rather fall ill in the USA.  In spite of massive public condemnation, when asked by the Gazette whether he supported Daniel Hannan’s views, Douglas Carswell defiantly stated that he agreed with his friend on NHS reforms.
